Of course, to answer this question, you must assume that there is an afterlife. Personally, I don't think we have any way of knowing whether there is, but I hope that something better awaits us over the horizon. Haven't worked out any partiuclars yet though.

Well, here is how I would imagine my "next life".

I would be a non-earthian male human, who was born on another planet which humankind is much more evolved than present Earth's one.

I would work as a planetologist in a scientific team, and I would study the thousands of planets that support life in the known universe. Planetologist & Explorer.

A bit sci-fi, huh? :-)

I think I should write a little book about such an hypothetical next life - lol.

Anyway, I don't know what happens after someone dies. I have no special belief about "afterlife". I just believe that I come back to Earth's ground after I die. I belong to the cycle of life on Earth-planet, that's what I believe in.

It can be very reassuring to believe in "afterlife", because it can help make sense when the present life sometimes seems meaningless.

Wondering about a hypothetical "afterlife" makes me realise that I really enjoy being a male human :-) - and that I don't really like earthian culture.

I am what I am.

I was fine with what life was like before i was born. That would be an OK afterlife for me. Of course anyone can dream up their Utopia and hope that it exists when you die..but it is purely wishful thinking. If you want to know what happens to you after you die just remember what life was like before you were born.

Hi Derrick!! :o) I hope you're OK. Not being able to imagine what heaven will be like - I tend to think of heaven in terms of what I like best about earth. [Our present day life] I love cars - so I'd love for there to be cars in heaven. I love laughing - so I hope there is humour. I love dogs - so I hope there are dogs. I hope there are beaches and mountains and tall trees and flowers, etc., for I love nature. I love to hug people - so I hope we can do that in heaven. In some way - I hope heaven is like what I've always imagined Hawaii is like. [On one of its best days] Just free of crime and cruelty and sickness and death. [And all of the other not-so-nice 'things' that we have to deal with] Craig!! :o)

Reincarnation. I would rather come back and be able to *do* something, than sit in some version of Paradise being deliriously, ridiculously happy and doing nothing. At least, for the next few times around.

It would be a continuation of my life at present. Actually, there is no break between this life and "the next." My life will continue infinitely - however it will transform as it has been so far since when it began at a point infinitely behind me.

The Hopi Katsina say you live in the firmament above the Grand Canyon after you die. That's for me; grogeous blue skies, perfect weather, red rock, and free as a bird.

My afterlife would consist of a beautiful warm garden, with plenty of waterfalls, birds and wildlife. The sun would also shine in my ideal world. I would spend it with my deceased members of my family and we would continue on with our lives as we did here on earth.

I know they are waiting for me and one day, when it's my time - we'll all meet again.

I just want to be lost in the pleasures of what awaits me.
