I have seen some performance pieces and read Performance by Marvin Carlson but it all still seems like a sinkhold for bad actors to me. Can anyone help?

I checked out the reccomended performance artist. it reinforced what I thought. Bad actress, weird ideas and like to flash herself in public. Sounds like she should be in Hollywood.

As suggested earlier: if it's not your cup of tea, you don't have to force yourself to watch it. But I guessed you're somewhat intrigued by the whole concept of it.

Do check out Jess Dobkin... her work might be easier to relate to: http://www.jessdobkin.com/pages/archives/Two_boobs/twoboobs_1.html
