I have read the bible cover to cover and studied it fairly extensivley. The book is filthy and you should be ashamed to even own such a book. I threw away all my bibles long ago.
"The believers in the Bible are loud in their denunciation of what they are pleased to call the immoral literature of the world; and yet few books have been published containing more moral filth than this inspired word of God." [Robert G. Ingersoll]
In this "sacred" book of family scandals we find filth, sex orgies, cannibalism, atrocities, sex perversions, incest, bloody violence unparalleled in any other chronicle in all the literature of the world. Fortunately, not one-third of the human family has ever heard of the Christian Bible; not one-tenth of the Christians have ever read it, and no two who have read it agree as to its meaning. Won't you help get this book out of the hands of our children, out of decent homes, and out of hotel and motel rooms?- Frank Hughes

The bible is definitely the word of GOD and nothing short of it. The bible, though written by men, was inspired by GOD himself. God communicated to people through other people (Prophets) or dreams or visions. The totality of this is what we call the Bible - so whether you agree or not the bible is entirely the word of God, and is God. John 1:1 & 14 says in the begining was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (in the person of Jesus Christ).
If this is not true how come did the Prophet Isaiah prophesy of Jesus' birth and what will happen to him hundreds of years before Jesus' birth? This is God's inspired Word. What can you say about the prohesy about the end time sings?
I will advise you guys to be careful as our GOD is not a respecter of persons. Even Moses who led GOD's people (Isreal) out of slavery was denied entry into the promised land because he challenged what God told him at some point. David's Child which he bore with Uriah's wife died even though he (David) was forgiven - that's a consequense of his actions. How infact did Nathan know what David has done and attacked him - God told him some how, some way. PLEASE LEARN IF YOU CAN.

I happen to have one of the few copies signed by the author, so of course.
Actually, Christians aren't supposed to believe that the Bible is God's word. The word became flesh, no? That flesh is called Jesus, and it is his example and living presence that Christians are supposed to look to, not a book that says the Earth revolves around the Sun, and that forgot to mention dinosaurs.
There is a living God who will talk directly to you! No middleman required.

Yes absolutely. It is the inerrant Word of God -- and that's awesome to know because the Bible is full of all kinds of wonderful promises that God will do miracles for us. How amazing is it to know that the God who healed people 2000 years ago, will heal us today.
