The best tthing would have been to top up on water before going to sleep, thats not an option now.
I suggest either a proprietry hangover cure, like resolve, to replace lost salts in the body or an energy drink, which will do much the same.
The hangover is due to dehydration, so you need to replace fluids, but you will also be low on salts in your body as they will have come out with the fluids.

Well now,
1) Try a borroca (one of those fizzy things that comes apart in water and contains large amounts of vit C.)
2) hair of the dog, (also known as drink again). The best drink to go for is a bloody mary. They contain vitamins, as well as the alcohol your body is craving (that's why you've got the head ache)
3) Sports. Go work out in the gym, or go swim laps. During the exercise you'll feel pretty terrible, but if you tough it out you'll feel a great deal better after.
4) Fry up. Bacon, Eggs, Toast, jam, coffee, couple of glasses of water, maybe some orange juice. Hmmm.... fatty foods
5) You can always just take a pain killer, but that will just mask the effects. You'll still be slow, but at least you wont feel the pain.
Yes, I do have a fair bit of experience.

Hair of the dog. Drink a beer or do a shot!!! Make sure the next time you go out drinking that you down a quart or so of water before ya go to bed. Will help with the dehydration, the real cause of the hangover.

I discovered this in Australia, the one and only remedy that works:
Berocca for the hangover:
Berocca is a mix of glucose, minerals and vitamins and tastes of orange squash. It totally clears the hangover (about 30 minutes to 1 hour), and usually wakes you up because of all the sugar.
Paracetemol for the headache

There are many things you can consume; alone or in combination. Fructose, a sugar just like glucose (its isomer, infact) is an agent to remove hangover.
Ethanol (alcohol itself) is antidot of methanol and higher alcohols which are the main cause of hangover and in severe cases pure ethanol is given to the patient; so a glass of pure ethanol may also help.
Vitamins in B complex group are infact coenzymes ( which are needed for enzymes to work) of many enzymes which are envolved in metabolism of carbohydrate, proteins and fats. The intaike of these vitamins help in regulation of metabolic process and thus production fo energy; which also help you in getting rid of hangover.
So the best thing for you ; i suggest is to take a can of fruit juice, papaya juice,if available if very good.

yeh obviously water is the best answer as dehydration causes most of the hangover symptoms especially a headache...i also swear by those soluble painkiller things. . . nice and mild on a wierd stomach...and a big can of cold coke-the sugar and caffeine always perks me up! and u cant beat a bacon sandwich or something else nice and stodgy! hope that helps

NO black coffee, aspirin etc because this makes the problem worse. You should eat oranges/drink orange juice for Vitamin C and to return your blood-sugar levels to normal, then toast with honey or jam if you can possibly face even a couple of bites. Drink plenty of water (or hot water with lemon in it if this seems more appealing). Eat minimal fal an dno caffeine for a couple of hours, until you feel better.

I am lucky I dont get hangovers. However a friend of mine does and what works for her hand overs is to have another drink. JUST ONE dont drink more then one.
You can buy some pills at a drive -thru or gas station to prevent hangovers.
