I'm legal, don't worry. But he's a lot older than me. We were friends for years beforehand, it's the best relationship ever. I didn't tell them at first because I wanted to make sure it was serious. And it's getting much more serious now, I want to tell them. But I'm nervous they'll get angry. Any tips?

I got with my boyfriend when he was 26 and I was 19, I introduced him to my parents and asked when he'd gone what age they thought he was, when they guessed him at younger than he was (wishful thinking), I said he'd be happy to hear that and told them he real age..... they were so busy being surprised that they forgot to give out...

Does your Grandma understand you have a boyfriend? try telling her first and having him over a pair of circumstances to get to appreciate your Grandparents. once you tell her say that he's very alot older than you, and you realize she could be afflicted, yet you fairly like him and could she meet him in the previous making any conclusions. tell her the flaws you like approximately him and which you wish they are going to get alongside. as quickly as your Grandparents have met your boyfriend some circumstances, your Grandma might desire to point on the telephone which you have a boyfriend, she's met him and thinks he's great (if she does!) in keeping with risk you're transforming into a meal at your Grandparents domicile or a eating place and invite your mothers and fathers to connect you, your Grandparents and your boyfriend. in simple terms see what happens, attempt to physique of recommendations it positivitely and easily do not tell them for rather a on a similar time as which you have been seeing one yet another for 4 years, it's going to easily harm them which you probably did not tell them in the previous.

It all depends on how old you both are.
If you are 18 and he is 50, that is crazy!
If you are 18 and he is 25...maybe it could work.
I am 30 and just met a great guy who is 45 and we are just great together.
You will have to tell your parents at some point...there is no way around it.

i'm 22 and my boyfriend is 38. my parents were a little shocked at first, but then they saw how happy we made each other. just ask, how would you feel if i brought home an older guy, or what do you think is the right age range for me to date? my parents had a slight age difference, 9 years, so they couldn't really say anything negative about it.

good luck, it'll all be ok. their your family and they love you. no matter how old your boyfriend is.

Im 19 my husband is 36.
Just come right out and tell them and tell them you love him (if u do love him) and they no matter what they say you are going to be with him. That you arent looking for their permission or approval that you just wanted to tell them.
They are probably going to get upset and angry at first but they will come around. Stick it out, stay strong.

Just tell them. I'm 18, my boyfriend is 25.

My parents were surprisingly supportive. In fact, his age was never even given a thought. They were more concerned that he lives far away.

Just tell them about him. If it is serious, they will have to find out one day or another. Don't create extra pressure for yourself. Maybe they will be accepting.

Pfff... Afer your commnet - this is not even an age difference! You must be kidding! I thought you guys have like 20 years difference.

You just told the whole Internet about your older boyfriend, just go ahead and tell your family.

If you think they will have a problem with him maybe you see something wrong with him. If not, just tell them.

How do I tell my family about my younger one?
We are both adults, and older than you and
your guy,but I haven't told everyone about him
yet. I am not sure they would understand?
It's not a huge gap though, but still hard for me.
