Assuming you accept that Jesus was real and events that are at least "hard to explain" took place (which I totally do!) I don't believe hypnotism would yield any plausible explanation - mainly because there are no documented examples of "mass" hypnotism that I am aware of.... so if you take
1) Feeding of the 5 thousand
2) Raising Lazarus from the dead etc..
3) Healing the sick (various)
All of these were done in front of many people... so I don't understand how hypnotism could come into the equation.

i guess we need to interpret the things that we read in the bible, particularly the "miracles" that jesus did during his time.
say for example, how the heck did 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes feed a huge mass of people? from what ive learned during my college days, that became possible because people divided the 5 loaves and two fishes so that everyone will have something to eat, not because of magic, nor hypnotism. so, the miracle in that case is not really the increase in the number of food, but the value of sharing. that goes as well for the other miracles....peace.

I used to think so, but I think that limits our thinking about the power of our own mind and its amazing healing abilities (Jesus said that we could do what He did)
I doubt you could hypnotize someone out of leprosy.
Consider this, every healing that Jesus did, He was asked for it, except one.
The one where He was not asked was one that He wanted to perform to prove that doing Good on the Sabbath is not a sin. He found a blind man and asked him, the blind man said yes, and in that case Jesus had to use an 'agent' to perform the healing (mud on the eyes) I think He had to do that to foster the same sense of "belief" in the blind man as the other people He healed already had when they asked Him.

No. First of all, most of His miracles were witnessed by a lot of people, mass hypnosis in nearly impossible. Hypnosis can only occur on a willing person, you cannot forcibly hypnotize someone.

Christians use the same power that Jesus used. It can be demonstrated that this power is not hypnotism so, therefore, Jesus did not use hypnotism.

if so, he would have had to hypnotise up to 5000 people at once. pretty much impossible, and christians don't believe in hypnotism anyway.

No
in my view its advertorial.
its a series of stories / adverts made up to promote a particular product, and there are a lot of competing produts in the religion business [and it is a business] (Judaism, Chritianity, Islam, Buddhism etc).
In principle its no different to a soap powder commercial - "buy Brand X religion: it washes your soul whiter"

Maybe but all the Bible's mysteries could be explained by extra-terrestial visitation.
