Check out pricerunner and similar websites.
Helps if you know which features you want and how much you want to spend.
Go to local stores as well to see and feel the range before going back to ebay....
Places like PC World are also doing good deals too.
I've got a HP Photosmart R717. It's a really good camera and comes with all the software etc. 6.2 mega pixels, and they're around £160 at the moment.

Ebay is an excellent place to find what you are looking for. I recently purchased a cannon rebel digital camera, I made sure that it was new, unused, and in a sealed box. The guy that sold it to me was fast in delivering it, and very upfront stating that it was brand new and never opened. He was right, and it is a great camera. The rebel is great for taking motion pictures, so many of the digital cameras out there are so terrible for taking motion pictures. By the time it adjusts and focuses, the people or whatever it is that you were filming has moved and the opportunity is lost. I bought an $800.(camera and lens) for about $580.00 Not too bad, check out Ebay.

Hi,

EBay is a good way to start but you need to know how it works or you end up with the wrong seller. i would suggest you to have a look at
www.mycameras2006.com.
I've bought from them before and they give you superb customer service. They are a Gold ranking seller in EBay as well for your information so you don't need to worry to end up with the wrong seller.
If you want any opinion or suggestion you can communicate with them live through skype or Yahoo Messenger. Price is definately cheap.
I found them through Pricerunner.co.uk and for a DSLR Nikon D200, they offer GBP880 including VAT!!

i would go for a canon, they are quality camera's and you aren't paying as much for the name as if you were to get a sony, also sony's in my experience are good camera's and they look good but the quality in their pictures in no where as good as a canon, and canon have really started designing some really pretty looking camera's. before you think of buying a sony, just remember that canon have had decades more experience in making camera's.
