They tend to get your heart racing and your blood-pressure up; but beyond that, they don't give you energy.

The one thing most "energy drinks" have in common is an abundance of Caffeine (and sometimes sugar). That's what gives you the sudden rush. However, after your body metabolizes the caffeine you're actually going to feel more tired than you were before you took the drink. In the long run, these drinks wear you down.

They only work if you don't drink them too often. If you're chugging down can after can of red bull every day, then after a while they're not going to have much of an effect on you. But if you only drink them every once in a while when you need an extra little boost of energy, they work great.

Hi, Yes they do,They load you up with to much caffine and tons of sugar and gives you the shakes, if you drink to many of them. They are unhealthy for anyone, and if you drink just 1 at nite, you will be up 3 quarters of the nite.Stay away from energy drinks.

Yeah. I remember the first time I had one, I got a couple...and they were the larger ones..not Red Bull. And I remember this because I was on my way to go take two finals and I had stayed up the last two days studying. So, I started drinking one, and I didn't know how strong it was going to be, and half way through my first test, I was totally buzzing and practically ADHD. I had the whole wrestless leg syndrome thing goin on and everything. Now, I drink them so much, that they don't affect me too too much. It'll take like three Red Bulls to really get me going,
