Just like our presidents and prime ministers , the god is not sitting in his heavenly capitol over our head as though to f by people who made religons . the astronuts who have physically made several trips and the scientists who have studied in the deep spcace have not come across and Town or city known as heaven or hell and have not found any trace of the Gods the religions have spoken of. Those ignorant humans who did not know any idea about the nature of the celstial bodies imagined so many things about what any one di d not konw and reeled out everything the thought that God revealed to them. No prayer ever goes to any one . and recently some university has conducted a research and found otuy prayer does not cure diseaseas as many claimed and cheated people .So also prayer does not go anywher . but the man who believes that hie prayer has reached some god, feels happy in mind and gets some consolation from his sufferings and feels confident that some thng good might happen to him .to this extent , it does good to any man who prayes to any God , whethre existeing or non-existing , thinking that the God exists. So far so good. Thee prayer does not travel anywher . but the man is sure to travel in to oblivion . he himself would not know where he went after death . if 'god is seen after death , no one who saw God has ever said about it . Ans all those who speak about god have neer seen god as they would not be there to say anything , if they saw God .-for they should be dead then. enjoy the fun as long as there is life .

Prayer travels to God travel along neuronal pathways because he is a creation of the mind that becomes real through projection and the force of things hoped for. At least, I think so.
The next time you feel the urge to pray, I'd suggest thoughtfully sitting down with a pen and paper and brainstorming a solution to whatever problem concerns you. If the problem is beyond your scope of influence, just accept it.

Well, I guess it depends on how you think of God. I do not think of God residing in a specfic space but has being omnipotent and residing inside the hearts and minds of all humans and creatures. So, when I think they prayer he is right there listening to them.

every action has its reaction. through results you can realise whether your prayer reached god or not.go to tirupathi for witnessing the same. in the undil collection only 20% is the volentary offering and the rest 80% is for the benefit realised out of BALAJI's BLESSINGS.you can't visualise the travel but realise through results.

No one knows for sure.
Some have compared it to incense rising to the sky.
Prayer is the elevation of the mind and heart to God:
+ In praise of his glory
+ In petition for some desired good
+ In thanksgiving for a good received
+ In intercession for others before God
Through prayer the Christian experiences a communion with God through Christ in the Church.
"For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy." (St. Thérèse of Lisieux)
"Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God." (St. John Damascene)
But when we pray, do we speak from the height of our pride and will, or "out of the depths" of a humble and contrite heart? (Ps 130:1)
He who humbles himself will be exalted; humility is the foundation of prayer. Only when we humbly acknowledge that "we do not know how to pray as we ought," are we ready to receive freely the gift of prayer. "Man is a beggar before God."
With love in Christ.

if lifeless chips can transmit signals to lifeless chips on the other side, how much more powerful the prayers of the living children to their living God, Yes JESUS is alive, and HE is seated at the right hand of the Father to receive our prayer.

By all means of travel-- through physical means supported by the electro magnetic means of travel at the speed of light such as radio,t.v, cell phone or any hitherto contrapted gadget, at the speed of sound travel by open recitation or singing singly or in a choir and above all through the thoughts of a tranquill mind transcending all means of physical barriers revelling in the Glory of His Eternal Self in a time bounded existence of personal self.
