My philosophy is not to go looking for relationships, but to go after the ones that just sort of happen. It's not good to be in the state of mind of dependancy, but if you meet someone special, and you have the time in your life to dedicate to a relationship, then is when I go for it. But I think I'm goint to break my own rule. I am going to study abroad for a year, and normally I don't go looking for relationships, but honestly I think it'd be the best way to constantly be practicing the new language. Spending lots of time with someone, going to different places, and when you get close to them, they introduce you to lots of people, plus doesn't it just make everything better when you aren't single? Is it wrong to start a relationship if I'm going to leave after my one year is over? Let's face it long distance relationships don't work. It's crazxy that I'm trying to plan ahead for something hypothetical. What are your thoughts?

don't be afraid to try new and uncertain things.

long distance relationship is really difficult but love is always a risk anyway, so what's the fuss?

you are a proactive person and that's good. but in this case, you have to cross the bridge when you get there.

goodluck!

that would be good if you are clear from the beginning with your supposed to be girlfriend and tell her what you actually want of her .. that way you will not end up at the end with problems you do not need .. well maybe having a group of friends is better for you .. that way you will have more opportunities to be introduced to other people ..
anyway good luck with your studies

You remind me of the story about the boy who count the eggs before they are hatched!
You are thinking too much about future events and relationships even before you have taken the first step!
Go on your studies first, be yourself, make as many friends as you can and live your life, without thinking too much about your future relationships.
