The best way to stay regular and get rid of contipation is lots of fiber and lots of water. If you eat only fiber and drink no water, you'll get constipated because you basically wind up with concrete in your system. You need the water to umm...mix it up and keep it soft.
The best way to get fiber into your diet is to eat plenty of cruciferous vegetables and fruits. Carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, apples, apricots, nectarines, peaches, etc. Also, whole grains. Make sure the label says "whole GRAIN." Look for fiber content on the labels. A good source will have at least 3 grams of fiber per serving. The higher the number of fiber grams, the better. Beans are another great source of fiber, as well as oatmeal.
But the BEST thing you can do to prevent constipation is to drink water. You should drink at least 48 oz. of water a day, on top of whatever else you're drinking. If you're exercising, increase it to 64 oz.
Also, go easy on the dairy products, especially cheese. These can cause or exacerbate constipation.
It sounds like a lot, but your body will absolutely LOVE you for it!
P.S. A strong cup of coffee will also help get things...er...going.
P.P.S. Stay away from laxatives unless you're absolutely desperate. Use them only sparingly. Constant use will cause dependency (meaning you'll never become naturally regular), and you can make yourself very sick by using them too often.

you know that is a good question well from what my doctor told me to Prevent constipation is to eat alot of high fiber foods and drink alot of water exercise daily or even walk that might help from coming back again.. if that dont work then take some fiber piils or something for it

Salad works for me, but you might also try prunes, high-fiber foods like popcorn, be sure to get your 8 glasses of water a day... try to stay away from foods that are fried, and cheese products. Good Luck...
