Green tea has many beneficial properties such as antioxidants, calcium etc. I was told to drink green tea without sugar or milk. My question is does the properties of green tea change if mixed with sugar or milk or both. I am not a diabetic. What are the other reactions that happen when sugar and milk is added to it.
Further, there is well known practice of aerating Tea or coffee which enhances the taste of tea. Does it oxidise any chemicals in tea/coffee that enhances the taste/aroma.

Hello,

As you know, green tea has many properties. One of them is its antioxidant ability. In last times, scientific tought that vitamin E was the most powerful as an antioxidant. But green tea has been found to be about 200 times more powerful than vitamin E.

When you take this herb with milk, you will alter this essential capacity of green tea.

Sugar and milk do not change anything about the properties of tea, they just change the flavor. With green tea, sugar is traditionally added as a sweetener (although as a diabetic you can use artificial sweetener for the same effect), but milk is not traditionally used, it is used in black tea.

Green tea does have antioxidants, however it has little to no calcium.
