i got married at the age of 16 and had my first born at the age of 16 too, since i married young and had a family young i lost all of my friends because i stoped partying, drinking, acting wild and going out.
for years i felt complete just by having my family members around, i still feel very happy and greatful to have my family, but i am starting to feel that i need to make some friends,i feel lonely, people always take a liking to me but i am scared to take the next step, it is very hard for me to socialize and carry on a conversation, what should i do to become less shy and more outgoing and more confidant?

well don't go back to partying, drinking, and acting wild. A parent should do those things.
Are you in school? Did u finish high school? Could u go to college or tech school? That's a great way to meet people.
Also church. Is your child in school or kindergarden? that's a good place, too. Set a goal for yourself to talk to at least person when in a social setting. This is a way to practice being more outgoing.

It was probably a blessing in disguise when you stopped the partying and shows you were more responsible than your friends and how much you love you little one..you can find many friends when you take you child to the park..etc....keep your friends carefully picked and always protect your child from the wrong types of friends...you sound like a nice person and keep up the good job as a parent

The environment made you depressed. I prefer you to start medication and then go for CBT. Later you will be able to stop the drug and live a life normal. Drugs like Paroxetine (Paxil) may be helpful.

just be yourself but don't forget your family especially your child. when you are already married, it doesn't mean that you have to stop socializing. however, your right to socialize doesn't excuse you from your responsibilities as a mother and as a wife

FInd an appropriate setting to meet people. Social activity, church, or just with neighbors. Patience, it will come...but you need to invest time in people too.

I can't say for sure, what you sould do, but I suggest to see a doctor or specialist. Try to resolve your problem yourself, if you feel up to it. Ask your family what they think.
