Few days ago, I was on my way to school. I was waiting for green light and all of a sudden this car hits me from behind. She called the police and they came but they didn't take a report, instead they wrote a paper called Accident Information Exchange.
I've already contacted my insurance agent, and a lawyer, but someone told me that because I don't have a police report, the other driver could lie about what happened.
Is it possible??

If you were stopped at the light you were not a fault. Rear end collisions are 99% of the time charge to the person hitting the one in the rear end.

Your insurance company will take care of this and you should have no problems at all. If you were injured you need to advise your insurance company and then get medical attention.

There most not have been that much damage if the police did not issue a ticket. I find that a little strange because hitting someone in the rear that person gets a ticket for failure to stop.

Again talk to your insurance company. They deal with your type of accident 100's of times. They know what they are doing.

They could lie anyway, a police accident report is just a statement taken by police, info. exchange etc. NY is a no fault insurance state, EXCEPT IF YOU HIT SOMEONE FROM THE REAR, THEN IT"S YOUR FAULT. I think that you've been misinformed, won't matter anyway, you're insurance co. will fight it out in court with them. A rear end collision is the drivers fault (if u hit someone in the rear, HANDS DOWN ! It depends on what state u live in, insurance etc. In NY u must be insured to drive, or when you get popped for a ticket, and are uninsured, you get arrested.

Yes that might be possible. The other driver could lie, by saying that you backed into her car. However, if there any witnesses available, you can ask for their assistance, if the lady who crashed into your car decides to be a raw apple and lie about the accident.

I highly doubt you can be held responsible for a getting a rear end accident. The person behind you should have stopped, regardless of circumstances.

Yep it can be, the other person always lies....
No matter what anyone else here says, they can claim you backed into them and their insurance will have to stand by them (whether they believe them or not is different).

Cops suck.........
