I've made it perfectly clear that I will not date anyone who is not open to it leading to a committed relationship. If we're really just friends (his choice), why all the attention?

I've also made it clear that there will be no sex unless we are in a dating relationship.

Maybe he just want's to be friends. In any case, if you're tired of him messaging you, stop answering.

I think that he might be thinking that you are a challenge and my married friends w/ very good husbands tell me that all guys like to "win" and that it's a game of getting what you want. If you give in easily, it's no "fun" to them. You are a prize and the harder you are to get, the harder they try.

Sorry, guys, don't mean as a put down, just a human nature thing my friends and I have observed...

Sounds like he is interested. Maybe he wants to keep his options open.

Maybe he has a crush on you, but is too shy to tell you.
