it depends on the person. You really need to be able to share some close intmate time together, so i guess it is important, but how important it is you have to decide. relationships make up many different things like friendship, laughter, sex, respect, support and more, so you need to know what you value the most, good luck

I agree w/ Bill E. To some people, sex is just a pleasurable activity and not an intimacy builder (ie, some like to cuddle while other want to just leave).
If you aren't open with the intimacy aspect, sex really isn't an indicator of a good relationship. Think about all those couples who always say the sex was GREAT, but he/she...

Sex is a part of a good marriage.
Pre-marital sex has no room anywhere, but since people choose to participate - I compare it to test driving a car.
Driving a car feels good the first one or two times on the street, but then one becomes tired of it and seeks a newer model.

I believe that sex is an important but not the most important part. But sex contribute to that special bond that the two of you have. Whhich hopefully isn't shared with any one eles.
