If you like variety, this is the perfect place for you.
Malaysia is a diversified country with mixed community, I'll give you a 1st hand if you have not been there: The majorities are Malays, but there's also the obvious mixture of the Chinese and Indian community. Besides, if you were to come to the main city, Kuala Lumpur that is, there's even more mixture of crowd there.....cuz there are international companies operating there, so you will see some Koreans, Japanese, Germans, English , French , Americans and many more.
Besides, there are tons of local foods ranging form local to Chinese, Indian and almost all international cuisines, that you can easily locate around the city.
If you were to go there for nature holiday, Malaysia has the best Islands in the world, that is in Redang, Langkawi or Sipadan.
If you haven't been there, then I guess you should now, cuz when you do, you'll definitely come again!

Yes, I,m from Malaysia, It's a multiracial country consist of 3 major races that is Malay, Chinese and Indians. We live in a perfect harmony with each other. Malaysia is not rural as you think. You can compare us like Singapore but more cheaper in price. We have a big city like Kuala Lumpur (where I live) and a big and green jungle. If you like nature. I'm waiting for you. Next year we will organize Visit Malaysia Year 2007. But you can come this year. For more information please visit Malaysia Tourism website. Terima Kasih or Thank You. Bye.

Malaysia is terrific, a little dearer than other Asian countries, but well worth a visit. Very hot most of the year and the locals r that polite all most too polite! Great shopping and August and March r official "Sales Month". Great bargains to b had. Booze is expensive.
PS Maybe February not March, check Malaysian Tourist Board

Malaysia is the only country whose constitution says that everyone born in Malaysia is a Muslim. If a pregnant woman is passing through Kaulalampur, and delivers a baby, the baby is automatically Muslim. Malaysia has only 54% Muslims. I think travelling through is OK. But make it a point to tell this to all in Malaysia when u r there.

I think u should because there are a lot of things here that u can learn and discover. U can go 2 KLCC, Marine Parks, Jungles and shopping malls, furthermore, now shopping malls in Malaysia offer discounts up to 70% on things especially the branded ones. So, u should better come now as I guarantee u will not regret it. See u!

Get yourself a copy of Lonely Planet and learn all about Malaysia . I believe that any country you haven't been to is an adventure. So don't ask just go and form your own opinion.

Not too bad. But many would say that Malaysia isn't as spectacular as Thailand. The thai have friendly locals: or at least they're friendly to tourists...

Yes you should if you haven't been before. Plenty to see, people very civilized and the level of English is good. Excellent variety of food, both international and local.
The main drawback is the price of accommodation compared to Indonesia or Thailand; easily double for poorer quality.

why? what's so scary abt Malaysia? it's quite a nice country, not at all the worst in South East Asia. quite safe, interesting, beautiful and exotic. just make sure u r not going to some muslim fundamentalists occupated territory - there r some, I'm not sure where (on Thailand border there's one).
it's a nice country, and it's easy to be there as they speak English.

Of Course why not. But be prepared for the heat, it's summer now, and the spicy food.
