I really enjoyed it, things were so clear after reading it, though I did have a few problems with some passages.

I read it and I agree with your assessment of the book. It was a joy to read. True there are some passages in the book that were a bit bothersome, but overall it is a truly excellent book. I recommend it to all Christians...

I read a couple of pages...but it basically sums up the whole book. God has a plan for all of us and we have to fulfill His plans for us in order to lead meaningful lives...period.

"The Purpose Driven Life" is preposterous drivel. It's nothing but an attempt to rationalize one's own behaviour instead of taking responsibility.

"You're doing what 'god' wants you to do, so just keep doing it!"

"Just keep doing it!" includes wife beating, child molesting and stealing. Anything can be rationalized; that doesn't make it right.

Yes, I read it with amazement. It's basically a rapture righty guide to casting all free thought and expression out of your life and psychologically enslaving yourself to Christ, who never wanted slaves to begin with. It's basically just a pile of stinking, vile, propaganda.
