How come you need to send a food processor to someone in Japan? From where are you going to send it?

The electric current in Japan is mostly 100 volts A.C., which is different from the U.S. or Europe. Also, electrical plugs in your country may not be fit into Japanese sockets.

I think it would be safer to buy electric appliances locally. Stores in Japan have lots of food processors, and they are much better than the Veg-O-Matic.

Here are some of the online stores which carry blenders/food processors/grinders. (Note: they are written in Japanese.)

if you are in the US, appliances bought in the US generally work fine in japan. the voltage is slightly different but i use all my american electronics in japan and have never had a problem.

you could also check out the japanese amazon website (amazon.co.jp) but most of the site is not available in english. if you can read japanese any of the sites listed by the other person would be fine.
