If an old village station masters house (forming part of the same
building as the train station with 2 trains per hour to london) became available to rent or buy, who would live there? (what type of person, would you live there, why/why not). (house is 1690 sqft, 4 bedrooms)

sounds like an interesting place to live, and you would get used to the train sounds after a while.

Where I live, that wouldn't be allowed. I do know several people who have purchased old stations and converted them into houses. I think that would be neat. They use the ticket window as a pass-through for breakfast-in-bed. They also converted a caboose into a study. They have a whole ranch based on railroad stuff.
