Although I do not share your beliefs I am sorry I tried to pull you away from what makes you happy. I have to admit I absolutely despised your beliefs but I have thought about it and think they are not so bad for society. Besides, where were the Atheist Katrina relief funds?

My personal opinion: More than religion, I think the world needs a little more love so this is my first attempt. ;)

Apology accepted?

Forgiveness is at the center of Christianity. We have been forgiven and so we are to forgive others.
Yes Christians do look to God as an example ot love. Love gives. God gives. God is also holy which is why there is a set of things that are right and wrong.
As a Christian one of the most significant nights of my life was praying with other Christians in the middle of San Franciscos Castro district. The prayer was not for God to bring fire on the sinners but was for God to forgive us the christian church for not loving people involved with the homosexual lifestyle more.
Thanks for being a honest thinker. Apology definitely accepted. I say this not because I am perfect either.

re:morningstar --Have you ever seen a christian church? It looks like some big time rapper lives there, walls lined with gold, outside looks like the white house. Do you think they really send out all the money that the blinded "faithful" that visit this monument to money are forced to give? That's another thing, the "donations" that the church goers give are not given by choice, they're MADE to do so. Open your eyes man, and think twice about the words you speak."
I have been to many Christian churches and while some may be painted white, the only one that had alot of gold was a church I was not sure was Christian anyway. Yes the Bible does talk about giving money to God all the way back in the Jewish book of Genesis, but what a person gives is not determined by church leadership. Each person still chooses to give or not to. How is someone made to give? I have yet to see strip searches or ushers with guns. Yes there are churches who make emotional appeals, but so can any charity. oh well. we went from one honest thinking person back to a spikeful, judgmental, closeminded athiest.

Elmo, little buddy, you do not attack Christians with your remarks, you attack God.
I will forgive you for being a brat, but you do owe the Lord an apology if you ever acknowledge Him.

You see? we are still sinners just like the world, only, we are saved sinners. We still do what we don't want to do. We still have to be around sinful people. We just happen to have more help w/Holy Spirit within us.

When we do wrong in God's eyes and make mistakes in human eyes, we HAVE to ask for forgiveness too. God is not finished working on us yet and most of us need a LOT of work.

I don't tell others about the Lord enough, I don't pray enough, I don't love my neighbor as I should enough. If I try to make it by myself, I say, Lord, I need you, again today.

In regards to your Atheist Katrina fund, why do you need to have a title to an organization in order for it to be accepted? Do you even know how many people of other faiths (Catholics, Baptists, Mormons, etc.) gave donations to the Katrina victims? I don't believe in any of man's religions or a mystery man in the sky, but I did give money to the Katrina victims through Red Cross and other organizations because I can only imagine what they went through. Here's a news flash for you, those christian organizations don't always help out the people they claim to help out. Have you ever seen a christian church? It looks like some big time rapper lives there, walls lined with gold, outside looks like the white house. Do you think they really send out all the money that the blinded "faithful" that visit this monument to money are forced to give? That's another thing, the "donations" that the church goers give are not given by choice, they're MADE to do so. Open your eyes man, and think twice about the words you speak.

We've been taught to love our enemies, so even if you didn't apologize, we wouldn't hold a grudge.

Congrats on your first attempt. Although I don't see any reason why anyone should despise anyone elses beliefs, I respect your opinion

I will tell you where we were:
1, donating money to the Red Cross, Rotary International, and other secular charities.
2. Driving vans pulling trailers full of donations.
3. Building houses for Habitat for Humanity
4. Taking vacation time to clean up rubble
5. Donating blood
6. Sending ambulances full of donated medical supplies
We were probably right there with you when you were doing the same thing.
The notable difference was that we did not take the breaks to beat our breasts in public to declare our righteousness. We were busy working.
By our works you will know us and we will know you.
BTW, no apology is necessary; in our secular democracy, you can believe anything you want as long as you do not interfere with my rights to believe as I wish.
I wish we had a President and Congress who did a little more work and a lot less breast beating in public but I guess they were to busy giving tax breaks to the rich Republican BASE and profiteering on the war with no-bid contracts. Here in Ohio they were investing the money from the Bureau of Workers Compensation in wooden Republican nickles and illegally transferring money to Republican candidates.
By their works I know them and they did not show up in Louisiana and neither did their goddammed kids.

Yes apology accepted.
Sending some love your way and
((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))

I also want to apologies for any comments from my fellow believers you felt were rude or hateful. Jesus words: “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you.

Alot of people on here (of any belief) are in debate mode and sometimes you have to just see it for what it is.

If you want to know more about what I believe just message me, k. If not you can still message me if you want...lol

Love,
Tink
