"I want my people to stay with me here. All the dead men will come back to life again. Their spirits will come back to their bodies again. We must wait here in the homes of our fathers, and be ready to meet them in the bossom of our mother."

Sound like a Rapture? It's a Native American quote: Wovoka, from the Paiute Tribe, speaking of our indigenous people's original Spirituality before the Christians came.

Any thoughts?

I think there are way more similarities in all religions and belief systems than differences. It's the same as race issues. I wish everyone would quit focusing on whats different and realize we are mostly the same. With some variety thrown in to spice things up.
I love the Native Americans reverance for the earth and spiritual connection to it. What are they saying about things going on now ....the hurricanes, Tsunami...etc.? Do they believe its the end times?

Wovoka was the originator of the Ghost Dance movement. He got a lot of people killed by convincing them that wearing Ghost Shirts made them impervious to bullets.
As far as the dead back to life thing, it's not that uncommon in religions around the world.

Different religions are just different takes on the same idea. If you put groups of people in separate rooms and give them the same materials and tell them to build a dollhouse, everybody's dollhouse will be different. But it will still be a dollhouse. As long as these people lived good lives and had faith in something they should be ok.
