First of all, thank you to all the Christians who've been answering my questions. I just rededicated my life to the Lord after not having been to church in 6 months and not having had a real relationship with God for a year.
So my question: I was reading my Bible and I came across "the Year of Jubilee." There's an awesome Christian song about the Year of Jubilee that I enjoy hearing. Here are the lyrics: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/3819/lyrics_days_of_elijah.htm
After reading the Bible, I understand that historically, the Year of Jubilee was a time when debts were canceled, slaves were freed people rejoiced and miracles took place. It took place every 50 years.
However, we sing the song all the time:
Behold He comes! Riding on the clouds!
Shining like the sun! At the trumpet call
Lift your voice! It's the year of Jubilee!
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!
So can every year be the Year of Jubilee? I think that'd be awesome!

Sorry fasttrack ... I did just say I read it in the Bible but I didn't say where. It's Leviticus Chapter 25.

I also looked it up in Wikipedia (which I know is fallable, but I found this article interesting), so for some historical background on this event you can check this link out if you're interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubilee_(Christian)

Yes, Jubilee is a time of restoration, exactly what Jesus is about.
The Bible also says that Jesus Himself is the Jubilee (Luke 4:17, other translations call it the Year of the Lord's favor, and elsewhere, but I can't find it). So every time he comes to you, is the Jubilee, not just once a year.
He lives in you through the Holy Spirit. Rejoice and shout to the Lord. The spirit of heaviness does not fit you.

All of the feastdays and sabbaths, etc were a picture of things to come. Jesus said He must fulfill ALL that is written about Him in the Law, the Prophets, & the Psalms. Just the fact that He fulfilled more than 300 prophecies shows that He is the Messiah, since it's mathmatical infinity for anyone to do so. For instance, He was born in Sept-Oct around the Rosh H'ashanna. He was the Passover Lamb, The Firstfruits from the grave, & at Pentecost He sent The Holy Spirit. The next feast to be fulfilled is the Feast of Trumpets! (when the trumpet shall sound & the dead in Christ will rise, etc) Then comes Jubilee, when all our slates will be wiped clean, as it were. Then Tabernacles when He lives with us forever! Look up! Our redemption draweth nigh!!!

Welcome back to the family. Good question. Think of it like this. Jesus is the one who sets us free from the bondage of sin and cancells our debt for our sin. So every day in Jesus is a Jubilee. Keep on reading your Bible and asking such great quesitons.

Interesting question, I don't know if that is possible...
I am a Jewish believer, so I tend to have more of a Judaic approach to my faith in Christ.
