Sport, where I come from just about everbody at least plays social golf so it's hardly a status symbol.

Golf is a character building sport. You have to be calm to play, you have to be disciplined to play. you have to play at least 3-4 times/wk or go to the range to be good. It is a gentleman's game, & a thinking mans game. You also use strategy not only against the course but against your opponent, ask Island Prince about golf, he knows what's going on. It is one of those games where you're always striving for perfection, just like martial arts & life.

you've obviously never played golf. golf is the most mentally challenging and awarding game ever devised. people are not obsessed with golf because the game is pretentious. do yourself a favor and play a round.

it depends. When I play its a game. when the pro's play its a sport.
My reasoning, is that it isn't a sport if you can still do it while drinking .

its a doomed sport.......water is becoming a vauable commodity, and without it golf doesnt exist.
