I guess I would want to know what kind of music you play and how much you want to spend.
It's all what you want. If you see a guitar that you like in your price range, there you go. There's no right and wrong with guitars. If you like it, it sounds good, and it feels good in your hands, then I say go for it.

All comments are subjective. I own six guitars--five acoustics and a hollow body electric, a Gretsch Nashville. While I enjoy the Gibson attack, I much prefer my HD-35 Martin acoustic.
During my professional years I used my Gretsch because of the style I emulated from Chet Atkins.
Another great guitar isTaylor--they have excellent resonance and a good feel about them. Beyond it all, you'll have to decide which guitar is best for you. It make take years to learn that, so be patient and play them all.

Buy the one that is easiest to hold the strings on the frets and sounds the best. Brand names are a very small help cause even the same brand will have variations between instruments.
Best bet ... get a musician friend you trust to help you buy it.
