I feel you pain and worry. My male cat who was 5 disappeared on June 2nd of this year and I haven't seen him since. I did everything I could to find him. I posted signs, put ads in the paper, called shelters, the works. Still no sign of him. I know your story is a little different but I know what your going through. I hope your cat does come back and like everyone say's he may find his way back to your old home. Just keep checking there and post signs in your old neighborhood and new one. Maybe put ads in the paper also, it can't hurt. There is always hope, and I still hope mine would come back. You just keep wondering where they are and does someone have them or are they dead. I know male cat's are territorial I've heard, so I just don't know what happened to mine, he was very territorial. I feel like someone took mine away from his home because there are some cat haters in my neighborhood. Anyway I wish you luck and I do feel your pain.

If your old house is not too far from your new one...you should go back there and check to see if he has gone back there. You should let your old neighbors know that he may show up there so they can keep an eye our for him. Also let your new neighbors know as well, and post some signs in your new neigborhood as most people see cats all the time and never think they are lost, so make people aware that he IS lost. Check out the local shelter to see if maybe someone turned him in there. He may just be wondering the neighborhood looking for food, so other pet owners in the area should be aware as he may show up at their place in they keep pet food outside.

Try your old house ( around and under it ) The same happened to our 3 year old male when we moved and we found him 8 days later in the garden of our old house scared as hell. I'm sure you will find him, just keep looking and post the odd sign on notice boards etc.

My cat also ran away for weeks but don't worry cats can survive without food for weeks. Try going around your neighbor hood calling his name. If he comes back (supposing he will) keep him in the house for a few days then show him around holding him. After you can let him go but don't forget to keep an eye on him for a while
Good Luck :)

Hi snoopy,

It is not uncommon for a cat to become frightened by unfamiliar surroundings. He probably is trying to find his way back to your former home were he feels secure. You could call neighbors and ask for them to look out for Kitty and call you if they see him. He could also find his way back to you once he settles down a bit. But it would be a good idea to alert the nearby shelters to keep on the look out for him. Was he wearing a collar? Hope you find him soon. Let us know.
Thanks Linda

Back to the old house. for sure the old house. he will find his way back there. the only thing is, someone might take him in on the way thinking hes a stray. poster the entire route , be sure to state he is dearly loved and missed, in case someone has him and thinks you dont care, and contact your local animal shelter.

Try looking for him, dont expect him to find you. Put up posters in your new neighborhood. Chances are someone might have seen him or found him. Check in shelters and maybe your old house.
