Okay, not actually a family member. My stepdad. I can't stand him. He's always complained about me to my family, saying I'm uneducated, I'm not motivated, blah, blah, blah. Then I find out later he was talking crap about me. I feel like I hate seeing him with my mother, and I can't stand when she's affectionate with him, because he's an asshole. Should I just live well, and show him he was wrong? Or should I just do it for me, and not to prove anything to him. He should talk, right? He has an AA degree, and he's a janitor. At least I have ambition in life. It's taken me a little longer to figure out what I want, but I'm on the right track.

Its easy. Instead of going around saying bad things about him, rant and rave about how great you think he is. He will feel sooo incredibally bad. Reverse physcology works everytime.

can u imagine the converstion between him and ur mother,,,

SDAD: He is unappreicative, i dont like him
MOM: Really? well he always says great things about you

WHAM. you gott em.

trust me, this will work like no other.

No matter what you do he will ALWAYS have something to complain about. Live for yourself!!! No matter who has you down you should always do that.

Eventually your mom will realize that this guy is a waste of time and leave him too. I know it may not seem like it now but I've seen it a million times.

Just have patience, patience is a virtue.

revenge wont fix your problem, it will probably be a temporally relief for your pride, forget him, do things for yourself...that will prove you that him might be wrong...but if you do something to shut his mouth you may hit the wall...you said "i am on the right track". so concentrate in your goals and live your life. after all he has no power over you unless you want so...Good luck
