I don't know but u may b suffering from anxiety disorder, If you worry a lot or have racing thoughts when you are trying to sleep, and no matter how hard you try you just cant sleep.
you might want to talk to you doctor she can prescribe you alprazolam that will take you anxiety away and for the first month only ask her for seroquil for sleep, that will knock you right out just until you get just to fallen asleep after that you can stop taking seroquil once you have your sleeping routine back in order
sleep is very important it will keep u looking young, make you smarter, help u live long healthy life, and much much more, You need to see a physiologist if what you have is an anxiety disorder. Take care

Valerian is the answer! It will knock you out like a light! that's what it does to me! also go to a herbalist or Naturopathy to see if they can figure out why you get Insomnia! Myself I'm having the opposite problem I have to get myself some vervain! my worker made a mistake and mixed my vervain with my st.johnswort because they look similar. My worker thought it was just a different brand!
St. Johnswort is another thing you can try for
Sleep! If you're really having a tough time mix
St. Johnswort, Valerian, a little Vanilla, a little
dry mustard and a wee bit of honey and that should do the trick! Warning you might not wake up for 24 hours.. that's what happened to me!

i am also bi-polar and had serious insomnia for a long time, i found help by staying out of the bed except when time to sleep and in combination with 3mg of melatonin 30 minutes before i laid down for the night. melatonin can be purchased in just about any drug store OTC or at your local wal-mart.

Push-ups. Put in a little exercise. Pick up an encyclopedia and just start reading, not just to read, but to really comprehend. Sometimes letting my mind wander through scenarios wears me out as well. Just try exhausting yourself physically, mentally, or both.
