For some reason i'm always drawn to the lighthouse near my house. There is nothing special about it. its just the tower part, the building burned down long ago. I always have the strong urge to go there at around midnight. Is it that i enjoy somthign about it or something more.

I live on a pennisula and its at the very tip. I can look over the entire lake and see city all aroud the other side (though where i live is the furthest thing form a city) It's a small lighthouse, where the actual house burned down you can see just a basic outline of it there the foundation was. In the light house. On the top is a normal lighthouse no longer in use, there people have used the walls as grafitti boards. its fun to read what people has had to say. The breeze from the bay it relaxing and the smell of such fresh air is relaxing.

I go there quite often, most of the time alone because no one cares enough to go with me. It's so out of the way people rarely go there.

It sounds like a wonderful place to retreat. I bet there are great views. I think in this case it's not so much what you're doing but what you're feeling that's important. While the urge to go to a calm and relaxing place is not unusual, if it's a true compulsion that bothers you and you can't seem to stop yourself then maybe it's an issue to deal with. If it bothers you, try to figure out why you go. Try expressing it in whatever way works for you, sketches, poetry, prose, photography, whatever. If it's not adversely affecting you then it's not a big deal. I use to be very drawn by a burnt out home that I walked by on my way home from school every day. I never thought it was that weird and I actually explored the place with a friend once.

it means you like lighthouses.
you want it to be something more, but it isnt.
you are in control of your own body and actions. there is no other force drawing you there. only your own fascination with the lighthouse.
you should write a novel or mystery book about the lighthouse.
paint a picture of the lighthouse at midnight.
write a poem about it.
do something with all this energy and obsession or you WILL go crazy.

No it is not weird. If I were in your place, I would be probably drawn to the same lighthouse... provided it's safe to be out there during midnight...

It's ok, you may be getting preminitions
Things like that happen to me too and I don't know why, but after periods of time I find out or have experiences related to feelings about places and things that attracted me previously.

na i thynk it is kool...i have always wanted to go to alight house and hang around it especially with friends but i can see why you go alone...maybe you lyk going so you could get some things off ur mind heck i wouldnt mind goin there alone i have tons of things to get off my mind.....ur lucky cuz where i live there are no light houses and it tis sad not many people go there.....it seems to be a great place to be xxx

why don't you go and find out.... is it a scary kinda tower like the one in horror movies..... personally i don't think that its anything wierd. i myself feel like going to a number of wierd around my house places.... so just chill!
