Sounds like an ear infection to me. I've had this happen. I usually pour a cap full of hyrogen-proxcide in my ear, let it sit for a minute, or until you hear the fizzing stop, then dump it out. Then dry the ear with a q-tip\cotton swab.
Do this at least 3 times a day and it will go away in 2 or 3 days.

Sounds like you have either popped your ear drum or you have water on the ear.
If you have been swimming or doing any water sports lately it is likely water on the ear. In this case the only thing you can do is wait it out. Do not clean it excessively because this will cause your ear to become dry and flaky but not actually extract any water. The only thing that will really help is try to sleep on that ear and hope that it will make the water seep out faster.
If this is not the case you may have popped your ear drum. I would assume you would know if this has happened since it usually does involve some sort of trauma.
The last option could be that you have an ear infection. There are some over the counter medications that you can try out.
If this does not help there are always walk in clinics that you can go to. There is only like a $10 charge to do this plus whatever the prescription they write you. Ask the doctor to give the a generic prescription because this will be cheaper but will treat the problem the same.

Well, I had a similar problem a little while back. They asked if I drank a lot of diary. Turns out the canals that run fron your ear to your throat could get clogged, and that prevents regulation of the pressure in your ears. Try a salt water gargle a couple times a day, especially before bed, and avoid dairy and anything else that could cause a mucus build-up before bed.

If you don't have a doctor, you need to get one. Ear problems are something you don't want to mess around with.
If your ears are filled with wax, try drops that loosen earwax, like debrox, and clean your ears by shooting water or hydrogen peroxide into them gently.

over the counter decongestants.........the popping is caused by fluid behind the eardrum....the canal is probably swollen too, not much you can do about that except alcohol drops to dry things out.
