the 4th step of a 12 step program for addicts and alcoholics

Step 4 - "Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves."
I will try to keep it as simple as possible (on how to do step 4).
Basically, you write out a list of who you have hurt, and how badly; Try to write down the times and dates it occurred, ( i.e. when I was about 13 yrs. old I stole money from my mom and did this _____? or when I was 19 yrs. old I got angry at my friend and did this______? ; Write down everything & anything.

It's not so important how you do it as THAT you do it. Don't let yourself procrastinate or drop out of the program because of perfectionism. This is a pretty complete inventory worksheet though:

do the first three real quick and the momentum will carry you into the fourth step.... it's like walking or something your talking about right?

If you really feel you must, do it with a priest or a therapist, there is no such thing as confidentiality in the rooms.
