Well, b/w the motion-sickness pills and your regular dose of Xanax, you should be okay. I take .5 mg of ativan when we get to the airport (in the line for check-in), and another .5 mg when boarding begins. I also take one tablet of the 24-hr Dramamine 1/2 hr before leaving for the airport. I know that the dosing is different b/w Zanaz and Ativan, but basically I spread out a full dose in two parts, late enough thatt I can check in, find the right gate, and take my seat without looking like a crackhead. By the time the plane is loaded and ready for take off, you will be too.

PS-- The last time I followed this pattern, I was flying alone with an 11-mo-old baby, and I was very relaxed, and not airsick, but I was still present enough to manage my son. You won't sleep through the flight unless you feel like it, basically. Just don't drink any alcohol or caffeine.

That is Way too much xanax for you to be taking...but I am sure that will keep you calm...you might want to talk to your doctor to ask him if there is anything else you might take on a one time shot.. I wouldn't suggest alcohol or anything else, you would get way to groggy ....Look, it is safer in the sky than on the freeway...good luck and maybe doctor can give you something just for this one time.

Have the Dr. write you up a scrip for 10 5mgs That way you can easily take your dosage. I used them for flying from Seattle to London. The flight went fast, and I felt VERY relaxed.
