unfortunately i know how your feeling mate. I just heard it a month ago after 8 years together with my ex. The best thing to do is let her go as hard as it may seem. I tried the friends thing and it just makes it harder to move on. In time you will find happiness again that will be stronger than what you thought you had. It seems like a hard thing to believe now but your mrs right is out there and she will stick by you through all the highs and lows. good luck mate.

The sad truth is that she just wants to be friends. Which means that your relationship as bf/gf is over. I don't know how serious the relationship was between you two. But I encourage you to try to move on. There are plenty of great beautiful women out there looking for a good guy.

People will tell someone this because they don't want to hurt your feelings. But it means she doesn't love you like a boyfriend, but she cares about you. She doesn't want to be romantic. Find a new one, or sleep with her best friend. That will teach her.

Forget about what it means, and forget her. That is a nice way of letting you down and keeping you around at the same time. Women are often unsure about relationship decisions, and often like to keep you around "just in case".
