After we have been out of town and return home to get some nice ice and water out of the kind of fridge that dispenses it, it tastes funny. Of course, the first thing is to check the filter, which is fine (we bought the fridge brand new like a month ago, it's a Kenmore). Then after a few glasses, it is fine again. Is it because the water sits in the tube or something or...? just curious. thanks

The water tastes stale because you haven't used the dispenser in a while. When you return home, fill a few glasses with water from the dispenser. Then the next glass of water should taste okay.

Yes, if you have been gone for a period of time it will get a nasty taste because I think it has something to do with the carbon in the filter, when you come back home just rinse out your filter by dispensing water.

ok sorry i reallly don't know the answer to the question you are asking sorry but here about my question who is better... your answer was: "seriously, what kind of question is this? You must know the girl in real life to be asking such a random question. How do we know who is *better*? Who would I choose for WHAT? I love Joel Madden as well, think he's gorgeous. But who is the girl, and who are you? Neither of you have 360 pages to view, so how do I compare. And WHAT am i comparing??? and why are you hung up on her?!!! you need to answer these questions!!!" ok i do know that person in real life. and i wasn't asking to be mean and if you need something to help you choose which one is better then look at her past questions asked and the answers she has given to others. and do the same for me as well. also i have an about me thing on my profile so that could may also help... you were just comparing to as better on yahoo answers and questions like who gives better answers and asked better questions..i think i might try that question again but with more details and links. and that other person gave me permision to ask a question about themselve so don't worry bout that either... so now can you maybe answer my question better now that i have answered your questions i needed to answer? Thanx!!♥ http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhuZ8o9_KjiYIYIKErFHMMTsy6IX?qid=20060903224434AA2c41B

something might need cleaning. Water in or out sources need sometrhing like a bleach wash to kill bacterea buildup or mold in the lines sometimes. Where you live sometimes the water is putrid; meaning, go to the grocery store in your neighborhood, and see if locals buy lots of bottle water. Chance are if they buy lots of water, your water tastes bad anyhow.

I think when water sits too long in one place- it goes "flat". -All of the oxygenation goes out of it, & it absorbs whatever tastes are in it's surroundings. Ever taste fresh rainwater? Awesome! You probably can't get fresher, or sweeter, water- than that.
