Comedians and musicians use their right brains optimally , Or do they? is wittiness and sense of humor and musical inclination and instrumental skillfulness has a hemispheric localization? Science is telling us that the brain is like a muscle, that can be trained, it also increases in mass, over time, as we practice musical instrument or do anything that exerts brain power, If so, is there any hemispheric asymmetry in the brain of a musician or a comedian, or a artist, compared to people with, say, more analytical or mathematical jobs, like an accountant?

Popular psychology has suggested that the right brain is responsible for creativity and emotion, and the left brain is responsible for logic, analysis, and spatial reasoning. However, these are broad generalizations with little support. Both hemispheres process the same data. The difference is that the left brain processes in a linear, or sequential manner. The right brain processes data simultaneously, and because it is mute, does not connect plausible explanations immediately to each step in the process, but instead trusts the left brain to later link the reasoning behind beliefs or decisions. While the human brain exhibits marked symmetry across the sagittal plane, the left and right hemispheres are not exact mirror images. Asymmetries exist between left and right cortical structures as well as substructures such as the ventricle and the hippocampi. Studies have suggested that inter-hemispheric variation due to asymmetry within the same individual is much less than variation seen across subjects ~\cite{galaburda:87, galaburda:91}. Studies are under way to investigate any correlation between brain sub-structure symmetries and certain brain functionalities and diseases. In our application, it is a hypothesis that schizophrenia may involve the internsification or reversal of asymmetries found in normal individuals, due to defects in neurodevelopment, the ability to assess inter-hemispheric symmetry in the human brain with precision is an critical need.
