I'm only asking because I know if I leave her in the extra bedroom, she will most likely cry to be with us. Not wanting to be alone. But where could I put her in my bedroom? If on my bed, how will she ever get down? Ugh!! Plus, I have another 1 year old cat. He's great, but you never know how they could be together all night, ya'know?

Hi, let the kitten sleep with you (with your door closed) until the two cats are comfortable with one another (should keep the kitten separate from the older cat for a few days all day), which shouldn't take but a day maybe two. Your kitten will learn very quickly to jump up on your bed and back down. Just make sure your kitten knows where the litter box is placed in your room. As soon as you feel comfortable that the two cats love one another they should share the same box so that way they can both share your room and come and go as they please.

You could make a bad for the cat on the floor, but kittens tend to climb, so she'll probably just climb down from your bed if she's on there. Also, I wouldn't just put her in front of the other cat. I'm guessing you just got her because you're leaving her in your room (as you're supposed to do with new cats...). You should get your 1 year old cat used to this kitten's scent. Get a towel and rub it over your kitten (to get the kitty's scent glands on it), then place the towel near your 1 year old cat's food dish or some place where he'll be able to smell it. It's an easy way for the cat to get the kitten's smell and won't frighten the kitten (since she won't be IN the towel. lol).

Dont put the cats together for a month without supervision. At night, put the little one in another bedroom, she might cry a little at first but she'll get used to it. Make sure she's got litterbox and water. If you want, you can put her in your bedroom on a small pillow-nest for cats. About getting on and off your bed, don't worry, you'll find out that she's perfectly capable of both.

I would say get her a nice big box to sleep in for now, with a cozy blanket that you aren't too attatched to! I did this when I got a kitten when I was 14, i had a problem with her pooping under my bed and after scrubbing the floor twice i decided to let her sleep in her cozy box at night when i couldn't watch her!...But that was like six years ago... so someone might have a better idea than me!

When u first get a kitten & u have another cat. You have to babysit them together until u know they will be okay to be left alone. It might take sometime or they could get along right away. Don't put them up too close at first.

Put her in a large box that she can't jump or climb out of and give her a snuggly blanket to curl up on.
She will cry but she shouldn't for too long. If you opt for letting her sleep on your bed, be careful not to roll over and squish her. She'll be able to jump down by herself. Kittens are good jumpers.

Let the kitten sleep in a cardboard box with a soft cloth or pillow in it. cover the top halfway for shade. Kitties love that.

Anywhere she feels comfortable. Just keep something warm she can climb into and keep warm with they love small spaces to sleep in where they feel secure.
