I am really shy most of the time. This cute guy sits on the other side of the room, and i have no idea how to get to know him! I can't just walk to him at the beginning of class-i guess i can. it'll be awkward, though. Gahh awkward...*sigh*
Any tips on how to approach him? and when? i really dont want to seem obvious!

Find something to ask him. If you have homework in this class, maybe something like "Did you get number 5?" Make sure it is not too easy and not so hard that he won't know the answer. Ask just before lunch so you have an excuse to have lunch with him. That being, he can show you the answer while you eat. Then don't spend too much time on the answer you already know. Spend it equally on getting to know him and letting him know about you.

Eye contact. Let him know with your eyes, and a smile.
When you are sure that he is receiving your contact, then make it easy for him to speak to you, by walking out of class at the same time as him. If he doesn't speak, then just ask him if you can go somewhere quiet to talk awhile

wear something hot and just glide past him before/after/or on class break and say, are you going to do your homework this time? Laugh and then walk away. Don't wait for a response just walk away.
