Basically I fancy my ex's best mate, who is also my mates ex. I know she feels the same. But should actually act upon it, I've never betrayed a friend like this, nor an ex. While I dont have any feeling for my ex I still dont want to hurt her, and I know it would devastate her

i suggest you first discuss this with ur ex... better for her to know from u that u are interested with her best friend, she will be hurt esp if she still likes u but she will understand... its really not a betrayal because you and ur ex are no longer an item and this girl is also not committed with anyone (am i right?)...

She is your ex's best mate so what you are not still with her, if you were still with her then that may cause a problem but as you are not fill your boots.

Talk to your friend about it first, if he's ok with it; it's all good. If not, you still may have a chance it just might take some time.
