Discount grocery stores like "Sav-a-lot" offer incredibly cheap canned vegetables and fruits. Look for similar stores in your area. Watch for volume deals in your regular grocery store. Try Sam's Club and other membership type retailers for volume deals.

Amazon.com now offers non perishable food items in it's grocery section. Case quantities are available. Shipping is free for orders over $25.00.

Good luck with your shopping.

You can ask your local grocery chain if they discount the price of a case of canned goods. However, Sam's Club or Costco might have a better price.

If you are a senior, some stores offer a discount on a specific day of the week.

If you have an H.E.B. store near you, check them for their "dent case sales. Their prices are low to start with. I almost fell over when I was there and saw the price on some of their name brand food like Jif peanut butter for about $1.49 a jar. Outside of that, I guess you can look in the phone book for local stores and for meat, check with places that process meat for hunters. They can't sell the stuff [unless it has been approved by the FDA] so if no one comes to claim it, they might be able to 'sell' it to you for a fraction of what you'd pay for canned meat.
