The bible says to be fruitful and multiply.
I believe that whether you do or do-not use birthcontrol, if God intends for you to have children then you will.

Not much, I daresay, because back then they did not really have birth control as we know it. (Woven wool condoms, maybe?) But there were a few instances where incidents that could be viewed as conception prevention were addressed, and the verdict was not happy. But then again you have to take it all in context- things were much different back then, and almost all things that were condemned were not just condemned morally, but because they were against the current law. The earth needed to be populated, and also things like a childless widow were just atrocious. I think at the end of the day it's up to each person to decide what they believe is the right thing to do, and to decide how they think God feels about it, because no one will ever have any solid evidence pro or con. It's all we can ever do- live by our own moral barometer.

I don't think the bible says anything about birth control, since at the time it was written, people were trying to have more children, not fewer as many families choose now.

The Bible doesn't say anything specific, but it does say be fruitful and multiply. I did hear on a christian radio show once though that God made us only to be fertile for a 48 hour window. They concluded from this that it's fair to say that God has given us the choice to have children or not by avoiding the ovulation time. He does want us to be fruitful and multiply, but that doesn't mean to just keep having children over and over, or he would have made us fertile all month. Hope this helps.

Not sure about the bible, but the catholic religion only allows the rhythm method as "acceptable" birth control.

the bible doesnt speak of birth control.it speaks about being fruitful and multiplying.that is for marriage.but i assume that the husband and wife would come together as one and discuss whether or not they want more children, they should agree and respect each others decisions and do whatever needs to be done

As far as I have read, there is no mention whatsoever. God says to multiply the earth and become many but I think we've accomplished that :)
