also, how much blood is drained from the body, and how much is left?

It generally takes about 2 hours. As the embalming fluid is being injected, the blood is being drained. Of course, it would be impossible to remove every last drop of blood, because it is deep in the cappillaries and such. Also, the blood is drained in every embalming except a very, very select few cases, and is very, very rare to do one where the blood isn't removed.

Most good embalmings are completed in two or three hours, although an easy case may take less and complicated cases can take days. In the case of arterial embalment, nearly all of the blood in the body will be removed and replaced with various fluids. There are other types of embalming that do not involve removing blood from the body.

I'm kinda wondering why you want to know this but it all depends if you do a full one or a half one to save money and if you do a half one then half the blood is left and if you do a full one then there is no blood left but it takes less then an hour and if you do a half one then it takes about 30 min there ya go
