Right before the November elections, so they can call the Dems "soft" on terrorism and attempt to reinforce the notion that not voting Republican is to invite Osama and Friends to blow up our children's schools. This Administration can't sell votes on its economic record, its foreign relations policy, its environmental achievements, and certainly not on homeland security and the disastrous quagmire in Iraq. But FEAR has been played again and again, in efforts to bolster Mr. Bush's approval ratings to some degree of success. In a dark fashion, I suspect Dubya is grateful for 9-11 because without it, he wouldn't have any more gimmicks to pull for votes.

I think you've been misinformed. The Bush Administration never "pulled" a terror attack on America. The horror of September 11th was made possible by Islamic extremists who hate Americans. I'm pretty sure George W. is a Methodist.
