Since God created the world and everything in it He also made Marijuana-can't believe that it is all bad, therefore but just depends how you use it. A lot of drugs have good uses if not misused.

I'm not a Christian but for most of my life I was, and my opinion hasn't changed since converting to the Baha'i Faith. I'm not for it at all, UNLESS it's the LAST RESORT that a Dr can offer a patient for either severe pain relief, or glaucoma, or whatever ills that weed can alleviate. If there are other medications that can do the job, then I say take the other medications. Marijuana is an intoxicant, and it kills brain cells that never grow back. You actually get stupider when you smoke it, and it oftentimes leads to heavier drug use. Except for medicinal purposes under the conditions described above, I say keep it illegal.

I am not a strict interpretor of the bible, specifically the "laws of man" section, and I will explain why. We legislated that african americans were property, we said that they were 3/5 of a person, we have stated that they were seperate but equal, and I think that all of these laws were a contradiction of the true intent of the bible. Now I do believe that marijuana is condemned by the bible, it along with any mind altering substance creates a kind of false idol in my mind, it is something you are putting before the lord, therefore it is wrong.

Marijuana is for escaping reality. If you believe God is all-powerful and can change any situation He chooses to change and He is all-knowing and knows where He wants you to be and the best way of getting you there, and He is all-loving and is committed to always doing what is for your ultimate best, then escaping from reality, whether it be by drugs or by alcohol or any other way, is insulting God's character. To want to escape reality is saying that what God is doing in your life is not good and you need to get away from it.
Oh, and for the first poster on this topic, God made arsenic too, but I don't recommend you ingest it.

Genesis 1:29-30
"29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so."
Marijuana is a green plant which bears seed, and so is given as food. I would assume that qualifies as "marijuana is fine".

The body is not something to be abused. Using something like marijuana is abusive to the body - therefore, forbidden. But dont get scared to come to church just because you are a dope junkie. In fact, come to church. It will provide a great outlet with tons of support.

The Bible tells us our Body is a temple. So, if smoking Marijuana is going to damage that Temple, then we probably shouldn't do it.

I believe that it was given to us by God to be used for medicinal purposes. The use of marijuana to smoke or to place in brownies or cookies for children or adults that are under going cancer treatments is a good thing, but to smoke for recreational purposes is not.

Though God made the plant, I know that he doesn't want us smoking it. If he said in the Bible that we should abstain from drunkenness, then we most surely should abstain from marijuana which causes us to lose our good sense.

I only have an opinion as a nurse. I am a Christian but I cannot seperate my nursing training from myself. I do not endorse any mind altering substances.I will state however that it is far less a danger than alcohol.
