Some are born with a silver spoon in their mouth and have the red carpet rolled out for them but most of us have to take life one step at a time. Life isn't always a bowl of cherries as Erma Bombeck stated. Life is usually what we make of it. By our mistakes we learn . . . as long as we don't keep making the same mistake over and over. I'm glad to see that you feel you don't need help because you can hold your self together. Life isn't easy for anyone. We all have to struggle. Sometimes we need a little boost and if you had someone to talk confidentially with, they might be able to give you a little boost and head you in another direction. You speak of sickness and I don't know what you mean. Do you mean you are physically sick or sick at heart. It seems life goes along well for a time and then someone throws a stumbling block in front of us. We have to go on with life so we have to pick ourself back up and take the next step. Some times we can't do it alone and need a little help. It's okay to ask for help, be it spiritual help or help from another individual. We can pray for forgiveness and repent if it's spiritual help we need. But remember that most of all we have to forgive ourself. We can seek help through a Mental Health Program. If they can't help they will refer you to resources that are available and they will help you. I want to leave you with one of my favorite Quotes.

"If you don't know where your going any road will take you there".
George Harrison

you're in that phase where you wonder why others achieve something better than yours. or have reach or attained much better thing than you. look man, life doesn't give everyone his moment of glory all at the same time. everyone has his own time coming. yours would come for sure. yes, you're strong. why did i say that? you had something which others gave up on. and that is HOPE. you're an optimist and thinks tomorrow is another day.

life tricks the most of us. when we expect things going smoothly, it'll turn the other way. when we ask for something better, it gets worse... truth is, life is a challenge. we live everyday to experience it, to make the most of it, to bring out our very best. it doesn't give anything on a silver platter. you have to work for it. and my, once your reward arrives... god, the greatest feeling in the world... remember DiCaprio's "I'm the King of the World"? so, just have patience (and hope) tuck underneath that belt of yours.

very good to know that you look for other ways to venerate strength in your outlook of life. hanging on family love... that's positive thinking, and gaining of wisdom. thru these efforts, you're understanding of human nature would evolve you to a path of better judgment and equivocal reasoning. use it as your main tool to battle the scars that life inflicts on you. in fact, wouldn't you have a motto like "Never let a Good Man Down"? the spirit (yours) has proven it's worth, now it's time to bring home the bacon... render others your strength and help them see that life is not really that bad as long as your dignity and humility stays intact... reason out that "heck, you can will your way as long as you fight it logically"...

MAN, i salute such a man with courage to show in times of frustrations and disappointments. may your tribe increase....

ciao.

I can empathise with you even though there is a great difference in our ages. After many years of suffering and asking 'Why me?', I finally realised that the only way to feel like I had a purpose in life was to take any strengths that I had and give them or share them with others. It was this sharing that gave me more strength to believe in myself and my fellow man. And like you , the love of my family kept me going in times of confusion and bewilderment.
Remember, the God of your understanding, don't make no crap!Your life can be worthwhile if you just use your strengths to help others and their love to help yourself ! Believe me, it works !

I'm sorry that you feel so bad. Hang on to that family love and stop thinking about yourself. Try to go out and meet some new people and let them get to know you. I'm sure you have a lot of good in you.
