I think she is mad because she didn't get the chance to nail your dick to a wooden fence and then set you ABLAZE!!! Because that is what I would do. It is never, ever, right to hit a woman when she's asleep. Wake her up first. That way You can explain yourself and she can understand why you're angry.
Some people say it's never right to hit a woman, or anyone. I disagree. There are some good reasons to haul off and slap someone and women should not be excused if they act this way. If they want to be treated equal, then by God, treat them equal.
But only use slapping for those really big screw-ups or it loses its effect. Make sure she deserves it before you backhand her.

She is mad because it is never, ever OK to hit. Not EVER. You have committed a crime, domestic abuse is not a joke. You are lucky that she did not call the police and have you arrested. I wonder why she is even still with you. Just be glad you aren't dating me, you would either be in jail or in a lot of pain right now, maybe both. If I were you I would get down on my knees and beg her forgiveness, and then get your sorry butt into some anger management classes.

Ihmmm......now that's a very interesting question. No one really knows why women don't like to be slapped or be subject to any other form of physical abuse. Despair not, my chauvenistic friend; it could always be worse. Just be lucky that she didn't take a machete and slice off your most important organ while you were asleep yourself, since that is what should happen to "men" that lay their hands on women in that regard.
