And if someone fails the test twice, a possible jail term. I HATE being in the drive thru with my children and people in front of me have a dirty car...

No there should not be any free testing either. This is the health of our children we are talking about... While my child is enjoying her Big Mac, she should not have to have particles coming through the vents because "someone" couldn't afford to fiz their exhaust system.

As long as the emission test is free or you are going to pay for it, I'll gladly take the test whenever they want me to. My car is clean.

Sorry, I can't go along with that. State and federal governments will seize on something like that and keep upping the costs once it is law. And believe me once something becomes a law, it is 100 times harder to get rid of it than to halt it in the first place.

I commend that you want to clean up the air, and most states do have laws, just not regular testing. Once a year might be okay, but people like the ones you describe will dump a dirty car before testing is due and buy another one that won't need testing right away. They need to be stopped by police and given a five day warning ticket to have their emissions tested and repaired. I have seen what I think you are describing. Smoke belching from the tailpipe, blue or maybe black. Clouding the air, making you choke and gag.
Yes those ones should be stopped by police and ticketed, but please don't give the government any more weapons to use against us a means to collect more fees and taxes.

And I hope the drivethru you mention is the one at the bank. If its fast food, the meal will do as much harm to your family as the smoke from the belching cars.

So who made you emissions god? You don't care about the cost because you obviously have the money to pay for it. Not everyone can afford to drive a new car. Contrary to popular myths, older cans, WITHOUT emissions, that are in good shape actually put out less harmful chemicals then new cars with bad emission systems. I tell you what, next time you are behind someone in the drive-thru at smackdownalls, why don't you get out of your car, walk up the their driver-side door and get them to roll down the window, and write them a check for a new car? That way you'll help save the environment and help someone who is too broke to eat out any place else. On second thought, maybe we do need to spend even more money incarcerating more poor people for even stupider things. That way us people who ACTUALLY work for a living can pay even MORE taxes to support people you find offensive. You know, those desperate polluters will do anything. Next they will be robbing old people to pay for their exhaust habits.

You seriously want to wait in line at someplace for emissions testing every 3 months? Like the DMV? Not me. And you know the place is going to charge you like $25 to do the test for you.

I'm all for saving the environment, but there has to be a better way. Perhaps police could pull someone over to perform a spot exhaust check with some kind of mobile sensor if they smell something nasty.

You must work in the Deptarment of Contradiction. You want to rant for the children, yet you stuff McDonalds in her throat and all you can think of to save her is to have better emmision control on vehicles? Wow! One of the stupidest posts I've read in a while... The emmisions are safer than that food your buying.

P.S. just by reading the titles on your previous posts you sound a little OCD about vehicles. Get educated about the subject your trying to involve people in before you start your hippie agenda.

Don't worry, your children will die from cancer as a result of your second hand smoke or a heart attack resulting from obesity from eating too much fast food long before vehicle emissions will get them.

Who cares if they get it every 3 months. We can do all we want to help the environment, and guess what, we could all be driving hybrids and it still won't help. Who is going to stop the 1.4 billion people in China from driving. Who is going to stop all of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia from being gross polluters. I say deal with it. We are all exposed, not just YOUR kids.

you're able to desire to be using the incorrect spark plugs for the vehicle or the plug is only too warm inflicting the probes to soften, or final yet not least the plug isn't warm adequate and there not burning the vapors on combustion...SO - pull the plugs if the ends are melted, than your using too warm of a plug, if the ends are high-quality and oily than the plug isn't warm adequate.. wanting that the next pass may be to interchange the jewellery and exhaust sensors which might regulate the return of vapors on your engine for re burning. those are call oxygen sensors..
