I was in the military, as was my dad and my two brothers. Because of this, I enjoy the military rooms on yahoo.
A few nights ago, I started using a mic in the rooms. I went into one room and asked (thru my mic) "are there men in here who would be interested in chatting?"
I was immediately told that I was not wanted in the room and to go away. I was cursed at (I didn't curse back) and chopped to "bits." (by thier words)
Maybe they thought I was a talking "bot." I have no idea what happened, but i actually had a bit of a problem going to sleep that night because I couldn't believe that people could be so rude!
I am not a young kid, nor am I elderly (although some of the "young" kids might think I am)
I was just curious if any of you have run across this and what you did.
Any similar stories out there?.(I am not looking for advice...just your stories).
(And as a side note, I have been online since 1996, so I am NOT a newbie to chat.).

Sorry I personally haven't been through that.. but just wanted to say never allow anyone to chase you off - stand up for yourself as well. Some people can be disrespectful and they like to play games.. never take it to heart. That is a lesson I have recently learned when its comes to being online.

chat rooms are like highschool all over for me...I don't fit in, I'll never be in the cliques...lol...really...very rarely can I get anyone to talk to me. Sometimes...but my problems are never worth talking about like theirs. Or I don't have enough kids to know what I'm talking about. Chatting usually makes me walk away from the computer feeling poorly of myself...dont' do it much. :)

yea i been put out of a room full of big chicks all i said was bm ga any ladies wanna chat pissed me off but dont worry bout it though they are just dirty people

Please don't be offended by their behavior.......People in certain chatrooms get comfortable with their group of friends and form cliques (which is dumb and immature)..... I've been through it too......I just brushed it off and went on........Take care and remember that not all rooms will treat you with disrespect.....Take care, hun..........
