Many different sects (Catholic, protestant sects) plus different perspectives when interpreting the bible (literal, non-literal). E.g. (1) the hell concept is seen as literal by some and as metaphorical by others. (2) The Episcopalans' Bishop-elect accepts evolution and doesn't believe Jesus is the only way to god. (3) Some (e.g. like certain contemplative monks) use the beliefs as tools to have a direct mystical experience with the divine. How would you characterize your Christian practice?

Catholic, but I am very open to other Religions, I follow many of Buddha's teachings as well as the Catholic Church's. I honestly dont believe that there is only one path to God. There are great ideas and beliefs in every religion. Only by learning about other people's beliefs and appreciating the differences between all of the different faiths, can you truly appreciate and understand your own. After all, God is all powerful, and he created every one of us. Dont you think that their is a reason why he allows us all to believe and live our lives differently?

To be honest, I'm not sure. I believe that the only way to the Father is through the Son. I believe that there is hell literally. I believe that if I don't get an accurate knowledge of the Bible and an intimate relationship with my Lord, then that is exactly where I am going to go. I don't believe that I can't cut my hair. I don't believe that if I wear make-up that I am a whore. I don't believe that I can only wear skirts to my ankles. I don't believe that when we die that there is nothing. I don't believe that we just go into a deep sleep. I don't believe that I am wrong for celebrating my children's birthdays or my husbands. I don't believe that if I pledge allegience to the flag, I am a traitor to the Lord. I don't believe that I have to confess my sins to a third party. I don't believe that I have to say five hail marys and ten our fathers to be forgiven either. So I don't know quite where I belong.

Depending on the scripture, some were intended to be literal, some were not literal. For example, the world was not created in seven of our 24-hour days. These days, as some of the other days in the Bible, were equivalent to 1000 years of our time.

The Bible is a double edged sword that leads to repentance and the saving knowledge and Grace of the Word, Lord Jesus. Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save the world. The wages of sin of man, cost Jesus way to much,to be a no value to the Believer as He took on our sins. Jesus Christ is the High Priest who makes intercession for us to the Father.It was a high sacrifice as hell is a real place. THERE IS NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN AND EARTH EXCEPT THE NAME OF JESUS TO LEAD US TO SALVATION AND TO THE FATHER. I try to Love the Father God with all my heart and soul,and to love my neighbor as myself.I do it only with the help of Jesus. I comfort the widows and the orphans in the day of their distress.And I pray in Jesus's name for many requests.

My church association, Methodist,does not describe my relationship with Christ.

Non denominational (there is no denominations mentioned in the Bible), I take the Bible literal, it is the true and living Word of God, I believe in living holy because He is holy, I believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, I bleive in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I believe in speaking in tongues, laying hands on the sick and casting out demons, I consider myself saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost; called by God, saved by grace and anointed to preach the gospel for we are all ministers of the Lord and hell is truely for real.

A believer in God and Jesus and a disbeliever in Organized Religion.

I challenge everything.

I strive to live a better life each day.

I don't do things for rewards.

1) The Bible is the inspired Word of God;

2) Salvation is by active faith in Jesus Christ, which includes obedience to the biblical plan of salvation: repentance, baptism in water in the name of Jesus Christ, and the infilling of the believer by the Holy Ghost, with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues;

3) Holy living is the mark of the Spirit-filled Christian.
