These people are supposed to be inspired by God in this book.So why did God not inspire these people to speak of the dinosaurs in between the 6 day creation and the dawn of man?Funny how God only managed to inspire them in matters of their current knowledge. The streets of Heaven are paved with GOLD,a very soft metal for a road, instead of DIAMONDS,because diamonds had not been discovered at that time.Just as they had no knowledge of dinosaurs.Funny how God inspired and kept those people ignorant to facts.Funny huh?Does someone have an answer to why God kept His inspired subjects ignorant to the most simplistic of things?

like you we are all simple minded and god can do what ever he want with gold or anthing else for that matter ,as for dinosaursWe know that Genesis 1:20-25 tells about the creation of aquatic creatures, birds, reptiles, and other beasts. That appears to cover every category of dinosaur that I have ever read about. Job 3:8 and 41:11, Psalm 74:14 and 104:26 all speak of "Leviathan," a sea creature. Some interpret it to be the crocodile, but that is not certain. It may have been some aquatic dinosaur-like creature. We don't know. Job 40:15-24 tells of "behemoth," which some say is the hippopotamus, but may have been a dinosaur-like creature. The Bible lists some men with very long lives, even 900 years. If a modern lizard lived a comparatively long time, it would probably grow to a size resembling some large dinosaurs.

Think for a minute what you're asking, Adam. If diamonds hadn't been discovered yet when the Bible was written, there probably wasn't a word in Hebrew or Aramaic or Greek for diamond. So how are the biblical writers going to talk about a stone that their language doesn't even have a word for? And how would their contemporaries have known what the heck they were talking about?
There are many things the Bible doesn't mention. So what? The Bible is not a science textbook. There are many things that we don't need to know in order to live a life pleasing to God.
Having said that, let me add that the Bible does predict the future. The Bible contains hundreds of fulfilled prophecies.

What makes you think they didn't know about dinosaurs? Is it just because they didn't use that name? Have you considered that they may have died in the flood?
And why can the streets not be paved with gold? How do you know diamonds hadn't been discovered? And whether diamonds were known to people or not, why should God change his design plan just because you think you've got a better idea?
Gods' inspired word, by the way, is much more interested in making sure people actually get there to enjoy the things you think can't exist.

Dinosaurs and diamonds are both mentioned in the Bible.
Job 40 and 41 mention the Behemoth and Leviathan respectively. Read their descriptions, and you can see the apatosaurus and tyrannosaurus.
Diamonds were listed in Exodus 28:18 as among the gemstones that adorned the High Priest's breastplate.

lol, i like u too, just like the first guy said, but youir argument also has flaws, just like the bible's, they had known about diamonds while the people wrote the bible, but the question (regarding the diamonds) should be something like why didn't they use diamonds instead of gold? as for the dinosoas, i donno, maybe god knew, or maybe god doesn't exist, but either way it wasn't written in the bible which either means that god doesn't exist or that god didn't want people to know about the dinosoars roaming the earth before us because it has nothing to do with faith and religion. oh and i guess the reason why god might have wanted a road of gold was that it wouldn't need much maintanence, its people's souls that are in heavan with the gold paved road, not their physical entities. i'm not trying to oppose you nor am i trying to oppose the people who stongly believe the bible word for word, but i am arguing your statements, and theirs as well to know who has a better argument, and so far i'm more on the side that is agnostic about gods existence because Christianity is based on the leap of faith and others make very good arguments against tha leap of faith.

Dinosaurs and Dragons are in my opinion in the same category. Dragons are mentioned several times in the Bible. Psalms 44:19, Psalms 74:13, Psalms 148:7, Isaiah 13:22,Isaiah 34:13. There are several others if you would like those also.

because when you teach religion( as i do) you have to relate it to things that people can understand.
they had no knowledge of the dinosaurs and no way to find onw if they did. so why talk about it....
they used gold as money so the idea of haveing the streets paved in it promotes an idea of a very rich life.
people are inspired in things that relate to their everyday life.
.......why would you use diamonds for a road,,,unless they are cut they are rather ugly dull stones. if they are cut it would be like walking in sand or over a gravel road.....give my feet a soft forgiveing metal any day.

Adam, Yes, ignorance Ignorance. Call everybody ignorant. Your not ignorant. They didn;t know about diamonds, Adam. They didn't know.
The Greek word "Adamas" meaning unconquerable and indestructible is the root word of diamond. Diamonds have been sought the world over, fought over, worshipped and used to cast love spells.
For the last 3000 to 4000 years, diamonds have held special magic for Kings, Queens and their subjects. Diamonds have stood for wealth, power, love, spirit and magical powers. Kings in olden days would wear into battle heavy leather breast plates studded with diamonds and other precious stones. It was believed that diamonds were fragments of stars and the teardrops of the Gods. The diamonds possessed magical qualities of the Gods and held powers far beyond the understanding of the common man. Because of these beliefs, the warriors stayed clear of the Kings and others who were fortunate to have the magical diamonds in their breast plates.

There are actually much more glaring contradictions and absurdities you could have brought up about the bible. However, doing so would be of no use in changing anyones opinion about their religion. I don't think anyone really changes their religion based off of opinions of a message board or forums.
That's because people believe in these religions for emotional and not logical reasons. Its a crutch that they use to walk, and any attempt to show how absurd religion really is equivalent to them of trying to kick the crutch they are using to walk right out from under them. Ultimately if someone has serious questions about religion and is ready to get rid of their crutch, then they'll come to you, you can't come to them.

Umm, you make no sense. Diamonds would be awfully hard to walk on if the street was paved with it, don't you think? It would hurt lol.
Dinosaurs have no mention in the Bible because there is no spiritual need to do so. The Bible also doesn't give me the best recipe for a Monte Cristo sandwich, but that doesn't mean God doesn't exist nor does the sandwich!
