I am really shy most of the time. This cute guy sits on the other side of the room, and i have no idea how to get to know him! I can't just walk to him at the beginning of class-i guess i can. it'll be awkward, though.
Any tips on how to approach him? and when?

I am sorry to say but no matter what you do it is going to be awekward for you. All you need to do is has confidence to go up to him and just say,"Hey I was wondering if after class(or school if you're in high school) you would like to meet up at _______." If he says yes then your in if he says no you might turn red. Just say "ok, later then." But I'm pretty sure he won't say no because guys like talking to girls no matter what. It gives us attention from the opposite sex which we enjoy, it makes us feel better. So, just go ask him to hang out , good luck! :)

i am a shy person too, most gals like us just let them approach you, if you really like a guy just go up to him and ask him whats up and if you don't know him just ask him if you want to hang out sometime? that's how i would do it
